♻️๐งต From Waste to Wear: Upcycling Textile for Sustainability
As part of the #EcoArt project, participants explored the world of textile upcycling, turning discarded fabrics into creative and functional new items. Using waste textiles collected from old clothes, fabric scraps, and leftover materials, they designed and crafted eco-friendly bags, pouches, and accessories that reflected both creativity and environmental awareness. ๐ฟ✨
Throughout the workshop, participants learned the basics of hand sewing and stitching, experimenting with different textures, colors, and fabric types to create unique combinations. By reusing textile waste, they discovered how fashion and sustainability can go hand in hand — proving that creativity can transform what is often thrown away into something stylish and meaningful. ๐♻️
This activity not only promoted environmental responsibility but also empowered participants with new practical skillssuch as cutting patterns, assembling materials, and designing sustainable fashion pieces. Each creation told a story — of transformation, collaboration, and respect for nature. ๐๐
Through this upcycling process, participants reflected on the impact of fast fashion and overconsumption, realizing that every small action — like reusing old fabric — contributes to a more sustainable future.
